29 Weeks Pregnant
During your pregnancy, many a times you come across the feelings that are related to the appearance and looks of your baby. You become anxious to know about how your baby looks like. Subcutaneous fats keep developing the skin of your baby as these fat deposits will help him control the temperature in the real world.
At this stage of pregnancy, the eyes of your baby are slightly open as the eyelids are not fused closed anymore. He can now observe the shadows and silhouettes of shapes of the outer world from still inside the uterus. Lungs continue to develop and also fat deposits continue to gather under the baby’s skin. Other than regulating the temperature in the external world, these fat deposits also play a vital role during the time of birth by generating necessary amount of heat.
You baby is now a little plump in appearance because of the accumulating fat deposits. The skin of your baby is no more translucent as you cannot see through the baby skin the complicated structure of blood vessels. The wrinkles are also gone at this time.
As the baby is small in size, he can freely flip over in the uterus as he is floating in the amniotic fluid inside the uterus. However, some women may not feel the same as pregnancy differs from woman to woman and so as the development of baby.

It has been seen that as the time of birth approaches nearer and nearer, women tend to get anxious and impatient as most of them having fear of premature labor, especially the one with Braxton hicks tightenings. This is quite natural and it is hard to come out of such anxiousness. But if everything seems fine then there is nothing to worry about.
Your baby is growing and the major growth by this time is in the lungs and immune system. One cannot deny the chances of premature labor at this time. If unluckily you have a premature labor, your baby can still survive in the external world under strict medical care. Placenta keeps delivering the antibodies to the baby. These antibodies are vital as they guard the baby against different infections and diseases. Although, the fats deposits are building up underneath the skin, your baby is still covered with vernix.
At this stage of pregnancy, your baby has become quite active and he keeps moving his different body organs. He stretches his organs, exercises, kicks, punches and even scratches the wall of womb. Being a mother, you can observe all these movements going on in your uterus. Some women may even notice which part the baby is moving.
If this is not your first child, then it is a good time to take your other children into confidence and tell them about the bump you have in your abdomen. Make them realize that they can expect to have a sibling in coming few weeks. This will help them making up their minds in this regard.
